Flexible fursuit bases, made for makers
Original fursuit head bases, feetpaws and practical building components, designed and manufactured by our two-person studio in northern Germany.
About Fur & Ash
Fur & Ash is a two-person maker studio combining character design and 3D modelling with engineering and 3d printing.
We create flexible, durable components that give fursuit makers a reliable starting point while our products are designed for both first-time builders and experienced makers.
NordicFuzzCon 2027 would be our first selling convention and our first time vending at NFC.
Online experience and production
Since opening in January 2026, we have completed more than 370 Etsy sales and received over 90 customer reviews with a five star average.
We manufacture our products in repeatable batches, allowing us to prepare multiple large components and higher quantities of smaller accessories while inspecting every item ourselves before packing.

The fursuits shown below were created by makers using our bases or components. The final character designs belong to their respective makers, who are credited with each image. All customer photographs are displayed with permission.
Designed and made by us
Every Fur & Ash product is based on our own original designs. We prototype, test, manufacture and assemble our products in our workshop in Schiffdorf, Germany.
Standard components such as fans, magnets and other hardware are sourced where necessary and integrated into our own products. We do not resell third-party artwork or 3D models.
Our main specialty is foaming TPU: a lightweight, flexible and impact-resistant material that is especially well suited to comfortable fursuit components. We continually improve our designs through practical build testing and feedback from fursuit makers.
What we make
Flexible fursuit head bases
Our current collection includes canine, fox, fennec, hyena, bunny, otter, lynx, small feline and big feline head bases.
Each base is designed as a practical foundation for building, with lightweight construction, ventilation and builder-friendly details. The flexible material is comfortable during wear and more forgiving during construction and transport than a fully rigid base.
Digitigrade feetpaw bases
Flexible and lightweight digipaws available in multiple sizes and customizable configurations. They are designed to simplify shaping, maintain symmetry and provide a durable starting point for the maker’s own padding, soles and fur work.
Ears and horns
Flexible foaming TPU ear and horn forms in multiple species, shapes and sizes. These provide consistent forms while remaining lightweight, pliable and easy to incorporate into a build.
Cooling, drying and building accessories
Our accessories include cooling fan kits, fursuit head dryers, magnets and magnetic eyelid components, liner and padding materials, convention badges and soon customizable name tags.

We plan to bring stock representing every current Fur & Ash product category:

The assortment will include both major project components and smaller practical items, giving attendees options across different interests and budgets.
A hands-on table for makers
Our products are very tactile, so attendees will be able to handle designated samples, feel and flex the foaming TPU, compare different base shapes and inspect their construction.
We also want the table to be a welcoming place where first-time and experienced makers can ask questions about materials, construction, cooling and fitting.
